Rain!!!!

Well, Cisco was lucky yesterday no rain until bed time! It is although raining lightly now and once again it looks like no sunshine for us!

When I started this thread I had no idea just how bad the rain would get or how it would affect us but Thursday night, it got really bad and while I was in the kitchen making Christmas goodies, I heard the most awful bang type noise. A van had lost control in the rain and slid into the telephone pole in front of our house. It also took out our chain link fence but that isn't the bad part. The driver was a 44 year old man and he had his 14 year old daughter with him. He was killed. She is fine physically. I just went outside with the pups and the chain link fence is just twisted metal and in the middle of all that mess is his licence plate holder still stuck to the fence.
I feel so bad for his family and that poor little girl. So please everyone, remember drive cautiously in the rain and check your tires, they say his were very worn.

How awful that must have been. To see a tradegy like
that happen so close to home. How terrible for that young
girl to lose her Father like that You are right in that rain
can be as dangerous as snow or ice while driving. This is
so sad to hear & can imagine, even worse to witness.

My dog hates to get his feet wet! He will go as fast as he can if he needs to. If it is pouring he will not go out at all. He puts the breaks on for sure.

Oh my gosh! That is absolutely terrible. I'm so sorry to hear of this tragedy. I suppose with time the little girl will begin to heal and remember the good times that she had with her father. I was just tellimg my hubby that I thought he needed new tires on his truck!!
