It was horrible for me!!! I was in labor for atleast 30 hours and ending up losing alot of blood, got dehyrdated. Had 2 epidorals, had to have my son sucked out by that suction thing ( forget whats it called). ending up with a second degree rip and needed alot of stitches. All I know is I pushed like CRAZY for a diet soda!! I couldnt drink until the baby was out and I was craving a diet coke so bad, the docs and nursing were saying Push for a soda, push for a soda! but in the end it was still amazing and well worth the pain and trouble.

Cassiesmom, my water was leaking and I didn't even know it, found out at a scheduled checkup and I was sent straight to the hospital. When I asked why they said this baby will be born today, so yes things are very different.

Being induced labor was relatively quick but painful. Epidural was a godsend. Pushing was awful, 2 and 1/2 hours until vacuum forceps (the suction thing) helped her out. That was in June and I am still in therapy for my hip but as stated by angelbow20 it was so worth it.

Leslie, you are so lucky you enjoyed it! I do hear the 2nd is easier so as long as I am not induced I will try natural - in a hospital, if I do end up wanting an epidural!!

I'm wondering why, since this subject seems to raise such sad memories, you even posted in this topic?

Romance - my mistake. Everyone here seemed to be posting about the children they had which survived; I assumed you had as well.

I will delete my posts(except for this one).

I guess you did feel you should post all your babies, by rights.

    Sorry, hon.

I have 3 kids that survived and lost 5 boys,,,,,,,,,,, all my labors were easy, and I honestly don't think I pushed more than 15 minutes.

If I wasn't older than dirt (and tubal ligation LOL) would have more. Niki you will be fine!!!! Just kiss all the babies for me especially the new one
