Thanks everyone. Star & Jack are getting along better now. Occasional squabbles, but overall pretty civil to each other. I know Star will always miss Sherman, they were so close. But she's busy keeping an eye on Jack. He's quite a character, and does make life more interesting around here.

Great pictures of your beautiful duo. Jack & Star look so good together.
Riley is a cutie pie too. It's good to hear Star is becoming more comfortable with Jack now.

Glad to hear that Star and Jack are getting along better!

I still can't get over Jack's facial markings. Every time i see a photo of him i want to say it. Simply wow/*gasp* It's almost spooky to me. mesmerizing.

Please, if your dog is arthritic look into getting it Elk Velvet Antler. Look up my posts on it, PM me, or look it up on a search engine; but please if you love your dog and want it to live many more years consider this option. I've seen so many posts on here about dogs needlessly suffering. I can't make a new post about EVA every time so this plea is going here. EVA also helps with other ailments such as anemia.

Both are gorgeous. I sooo love the markings. I am partial to the lightly marked red ones and hubby prefers the ones like your boy who is strongly marked with black and white. Very beautiful.

Actually, Star's dad looked a lot like Jack, very sharply marked black & white, except he had a lot of black freckles on his muzzel, very cute! (She has a few, too). Her mama was all white (I know you like white dogs, Nichole! )

Dear Blue Moon Star, I saw your mom's post in the memorial thread so I just wanted to say hello today. How are you, and how is Jack (puppyhead)? Could you please instruct your mom to give you both a hug for me today? I enjoy looking at these photos of you -- I do it often!

    Hugs,
    Your Fan and Jack's too,
    Elyse

Great pictures of dogs and kids Pat! We certainly missed you and JoJoe and the dogs at the dog park gathering. So gald that Jack and Star are getting along better. Who knows - someday they may be nearly as close as Star and Sherman were.

Yes, there's been progress as far as keeping peace goes. Of course I hope to see them enjoy each other. Jack is very competitive when it comes to play, getting attention, walking ahead, etc. Star is just so much more laid back. I think he irritates her.

Star is still pretty despondent. For those who know her, Nancy E. just wrote back & said that Star is having a difficult time moving ahead. Sherman was truly her soulmate, and she is still devastated.
But Nancy has glowing things to say about Jack & what a wonderful dog he is.

I'm sure that down the road, Star will take comfort in his presence here. Right now, she still views him as a big pain in the butt, lol! Or maybe not... as you can see in these pictures, they do spend time snuggled up, sort of. This nap lasted a couple hours:

    Proof:

Jack keeps himself busy hanging around the kitchen (hope springs eternal), swiping toys & taking them outside or strewn all over the living room floor, catching bugs, & guarding the staircase from intruders when he sleeps across the bottom step (I'm gonna trip over him one of these days ).
He may be 2 1/2, but he's still got a lot of puppy in him! Here's his "Am I going too?" look-

Jack the Puppyhead! You are so adorable I could reach through the monitor to give you a hug and put a kiss on your head!

Mme Star, even though I only see your sweet self napping I'm sure it was a nap taken in your usual elegant, dignified style.

I'm happy to hear that Jack and Star are getting along. What great photos.

Kia and Chipper still have their moments. Kia will want to play with me and Chipper will interrupt, which ticks Kia off. So I know how you feel.
