That has happened to me... We found a run away dog that was so scared that we had to hand feed her for a few weeks. She started to eat on her own in time but she always wanted someone to be with her while she ate.
Also my Boxer usually will not eat if there is to much stuff going on around him.

ur dog is not spoild! he just is probably depressed. i dont know much about dogs but i do know they have feelings just like you and me! so think of how you would feel.keep feeding him, and probably aventually he will eat on his own. maybe try a couple things like maybe put a picture of your old dog next to the food bowl. tell me if any of my sugggestions help. good luck!
