I second the vote for Ronnies! Yum, Yum, Yum - you inland folks just don't know what you're missing. And you can get a side of deep-fried mushrooms, too! Then, if you're not overful, head across the parking lot to their ice cream stand.

Sounds good but frankly I would rather have fried oysters.....my Mom makes the best.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

Their like very fine strips fried to a golden brown and they chew like thin rubberbands with just a taste of tartar sauce. But the taste?? Nothing else like it! I'm hungry.

I'd say that's just about enough "edumication" for me!

They are chewy. That's what I don't like about clam strips. When I had the whole fried clam in Plymouth, MA , it tasted like I was eating sand. Everything else was wonderful, there!

I don't "hate" them. I just have seafood choices that I enjoy a lot more. And we have a lot of fresh seafood in SC. Clams aren't here, though.

I have a few places....Hank's Dairy Bar in Plainfield, CT and if I'm in Mystic then it's the Sea Swirl...but I like clam strips not the whole belly clams.
