My cats favorites toys are definitely the cheapest!! Shadow, age 7, loves plastic milk rings and Stormy, age 1, loves soda bottle caps. The other 3 play with anything that gets in their path.![]()

Maggie,
I didn't slap you, I just high fived your Face!I've Been Boo'd!!
Mine love paper bags. They try to play with the plastic ones, but I had a kitten choke after chewing on one (I had turned for a couple minutes to put stuff up) and nearly died from it, so since then I don't leave them down for my cats. But paper bags after I cut the handles off are great toys for them.Originally Posted by critter crazy
Shadow, 7, loves to sleep in boxes. Doesn't matter how big or small, he'll squeeze into the smallest ones around, which is funny since he'll nearly break them sometimes.![]()
My Giz gets soooooo bored and just wanders around looking for something new to get into, a new place to explore.... ESPECIALLY when I turn the lights off at night.. You can bet she has taught me not to leave ANYTHING plastic laying around in my bedroom... she can find the tiniest piece of bubble wrap to play with, a wal mart plastic bag... Everything is a possiable play toy for her.

My cats love to play with hair scrunchies. They actually play fetch. I'll fling it and they retrieve it. It's very strange.
Mine love to run off with my hair elastics also. Stormy (Manx, 1 year old) has taken & hidden most of mine, I'm always having to buy new ones! I swear, when I move I'll find all of them again.Originally Posted by Fender963
Angel (4 year old Siamese) plays with imaginary pieces of fluff in the air. LOL Ebby (7 year old DSH) will play with anything, she'll rabbit kick the sheets if she gets in the mood. When she was a kitten, she was rabbit kicking the blanket and decided she needed to clean her back leg. That would've been all fine & good, if she would've stopped kicking (keep in mind, this was at the edge of the bed). She lifted her back leg, which was still rabbit kicking, to start to clean, kicked herself in the face, fell off the bed, onto Shadow (7 year old DSH) and the race was on. Funniest thing I ever saw.
Mischief (3 year old DSH, pictured by my name) doesn't really play. She does enjoy trying to stalk my iguana in her habitat. LOL
I have a maincoon cat and I used to let my cat play with those milk jug rings also until he cut his mouth. I have looked for months for a ring toy for cats and could not find one until a few days ago i found this sight 1happycat.com and they sell a product called a catring and my cat loves it best of all no sharp edges for him to cut his mouth on you might want to consider getting him one before you have a nice vet bill. Just some friendly advice from a friendly cat lover.
for those who buy orange juice, buy the kind in the plastic bottle carafe'. (not with the green cap!)after you open the bottle, there is an orange ring still left on it, pry it off(comes off easily) throw to cat, and let them enjoy

It is bigger than a milk ring so I think it is much safer![]()
PS. also if you buy planters sunflower seeds in a glass jar you can get the same kind of ring as the orange juice ring....but it is a yellow ring![]()
see sample of fun below![]()

My name is Cassie (short for Cashmere, which is what my Grandma was wearing the day she found out about me). You asked me what my favorite games are. My very favorite game is Wake Up, Mom! This starts anywhere between 4:30 and 5 A.M. when I decide I am ready for breakfast. I awaken my mom to feed me by tearing any available paper with my mouth. Letters, envelopes, pages of books or whatever happens to be available. Sometimes I have to use my front paws to keep the paper in place so I can tear it. Mom calls me her Confetti Production Specialist and says she doesn't know of any other cat that does this. It works! (Don't tell anyone, but she leaves a piece of uncolored paper - like notebook paper - on the floor for me sometimes cos she doesn't want me ingesting anything with ink on it.) She wakes up and grumbles a bit and then heads for the kitchen to fix my first breakfast. Right before she leaves for the office she gives me my second breakfast because she doesn't want me to be hungry 'til she gets home. I also like to run a cat sprint from one end of the house to the other at night after using my cat box. Drives Mom crazy.
Oh, wait, you meant my favorite toy? That would be a Kitty Tease, which was given to my Mom and me as a gift by our shelter the day we came home together. It's a long, fiberglass pole with a denim belt loop tied to the pole by a black string. They say it has to be a black string because my eyes don't see the black too well. I will meow and rub myself along the sofa to get Mom to play Kitty Tease with me. She keeps the belt loop moving while I chase it. I like it when she throws it into the open end of a paper bag or over the edge of a box, cause then I can hop into the bag or box to chase it. I came home with Mom 8 1/2 years ago and all these years later Kitty Tease is still my very favorite toy.
