Congratulations to Bush and his supporters and my greatest commiserations to Kerry and his supporters.

I personally was sad to see Bush win the election, I wanted to see new blood, there goes my hope for a cure for a miserable hereditary disease that may befall me and my family, and the only consulation is its only for four years, my understanding is after 8 years Bush will have done his term and have to step down, correct me please if this is wrong. Roll on 4 years.

So to all those who feel despair at the thought of Bush being in power again, you have my empathy.

YAYYYY!!! Bush won!! Let's hear it for higher unemployment! Let's hear it for a higher national deficit! Let's hear it for more war! Let's hear it for citizens' rights being taken away! Equal rights are overrated anyway!

    Goooooooo Bush!

    And.... I'm spent.

My mom always taught me that I make my own 'row to hoe'
    in life.

In case you never have had a row to hoe, let me explain.

You plant seeds in the dirt in a straight line....You take a hoe, and you create a llittle channel on each side so the water will get to the seeds and later the roots.

The crops you get depend on the seeds you sow, the effort you put into the hoeing and the care you take for the harvest.

People will walk by your garden or crop and admire the work you have put into your plants....

When you haphazardly toss the seeds to the wind, don't bother to hoe and water when you want to, people will pass right on by and never even realize what's going on on that plot of earth.

Speech and courtesy are the same way.

When you choose your words carefully, people will see the care that you have taken to make a point.

I still cannot believe that people have forgotten about the WTC bombing in the early 90's

    http://www.adl.org/learn/jttf/wtcb_jttf.asp

I believe that someone by the name of Bill Clinton was the president then.

What about the 'Black Hawk Down" incident?
    The Beirut Marine barracks bombing?
    The Disco in Germany Bombing
    The Lockerbie/PanAm plane bombing?
Ask Leon Klinghoffer's family what they thought about him being shot and pushed off the Achille Lauro in his wheelchair.

And then you have the OK city bombing.......I guess Tim Mcveigh gets a pass on that one because he was an American?

You are worried about an attack that took place on American soil and that's the only time it will rankle anyone's arse because ALL THE OTHER STUFF HAPPENED OVERSEAS.......

Boo hoo for five seconds and let's go on with our lives.....it's a few soldiers in a disco, some sailors on a boat and 232 Marines asleep in a barracks.

Then it's a paraplegic in a wheelchair swimming with the fishes.

We have been the target of terrorism for YEARS. It's just no one was stupid enough (Except for the '93 WTC bombing) to bring it home to roost in the United States......

When you blame Bush blame Clinton, Bush, Reagan, Carter and all the rest of the president's who had a terrorist attack happen on their watch.

After you blame the presidents blame yourself and then blame your parents for subscribing to the "let's cut the military budget"
    line of thought.

When the next terrorist attack happens you'll hear about three sets of people,

The people who will cry about the government 'NOT DOING ENOUGH'

The people who will cry about the government "NOT ABLE TO DO ENOUGH"

And the people who won't say anything-We'll be digging them out of the rubble.

So blame the current administration, But don't forget about all the Men and Women that have died from terrorist attacks overseas over the years.

That's one thing that amazes me to this day!!!!

No one ever blames the gutless effing punks who pull these stunts off...

We turn on each other like rabid weasels, biting and gnawing on each other because it's dark inside the hole in the ground.

Actually, you can't be mad at Muhammad Atta and his friends.

We need someone/something physical to vent on...

    You gotta love it.

I must say that when Bush won this election - I actually CRIED.

I fear for this country. I am terrified of what he will do to it.

How long will it take this man to strip all women of their rights - and remove everyone's civil rights as well?

How long will it take him to find a convenient excuse to start another war? And another? How many citizens will have to die before people start to wake up?

I'm physically sick to my stomach over this. I don't know if I can deal with another 4 years of Bush. I might just move to Canada.

I think a lot of people didn't really blame 9/11 on Bush, but had problems with how he handled it. I'm not speaking for everyone, but I think lots of people think that way. I myself am not sure what to think of that whole situation. I don't believe a thing Michael Moore says (can't STAND that guy), but I think there may be some ounce of truth in his film. I haven't been able to figure it all out myself quite yet. There is a long list of other reasons besides 9/11 why I didn't want Bush back in office.

    Just some thoughts from me.

really an entire nation couldnt all be telling lies, theres no denying how bad this economy has suffered since Bush was elected. We all lost jobs, it happened almost immediatly after he was elected and not only to me and my mother but several others close to us too. And according to the news... also to hundreds and thousands of others. Yeah there were attacks while Clinton was president but instead of blindly attacking back he focused on US, the americans, on rebuilding and moving on and ultimately we were a happier nation.

Here is something I received today, a daily commentary from a local talk show host, Ralph Bristol. I thought you might find it interesting. I did.

I hope that the President and Congress, together, can work towards a more united country and that their efforts will promote a stronger economy. But I will not blame them entirely for what happens to my family and me, personally. We are all accountable in my opinion.

Republicans have no time to celebrate the nearly unprecedented victory with which voters entrusted them Tuesday, nor do they have the luxury of being timid. After a short breather to thank their families for their patience, they need to roll up their sleeves and get to work fulfilling their mandate.

Four years ago, Americans decided to take a chance and put Republicans in charge. Their leader, President Bush, promised to cut taxes, reform Social Security and hold the line on spending.

Granted, he had a few obstacles. He inherited an economy that was coming to the end of a major boom cycle and entering a recession. Less than a year into his presidency, he also had to answer 9/11, a declaration of war by radical Islamic terrorists. But the recession is behind us, thanks in part to the one promise the Republicans did keep - to cut taxes, and even though the war continues, life has returned to as normal as it's going to get.

Now, voters have reinforced and amplified the decision they made four years ago - to reform and downsize government with an unprecedented GOP majority. President Bush is the first President to win a majority of the popular vote since 1988. He got more votes than any other President in history. Voters fired the leader of Senate Democrats and gave Republicans at least three more members of the Senate. They also increased the GOP majority in the House.

An abundantly clear majority of Americans want what Republicans campaigned on. We want Social Security and other entitlement reform. We want tax reform, not just selective tax cuts designed to manipulate our personal financial decisions. We want smaller, less intrusive, and less expensive government. We want a Supreme Court that knows the difference between the role of judges and legislators, and respects the rights of states and the people to make moral judgments about such things as marriage and abortion.

There is no political obstacle to a "full steam ahead" reform agenda. President Bush will never face another election, so he doesn't have to be timid for political reasons. Some of the newest members of the GOP majority in the Senate (Lindsey Graham and Jim DeMint for example) fought off relentless attacks against tax and Social Security reform ideas to win convincing victories.

There are only two things that can stop this uniquely Republican government from fulfilling its unambiguous marching orders. One would be that they don't actually want to do the things they said they want to do. If that's the case, there should be hell to pay when they seek reelection. The other is the Senate rule that requires 60 votes to break a threatened filibuster. The Republican leadership need not let that rule stop them. The majority can either change the rules or punish the obstructionists. The majority should let it be known that all reform bills and judicial nominees will get a fair hearing and a vote, or those who stop it will take nothing home to their constituents except a horse's head (symbolically speaking of course).

I am pleased that voters across the country decided to give Republicans another chance and a larger majority to govern for the next four years. But I am not in the mood to celebrate. I'm in the mood to hold some Republican feet to the fire.

Now, take five and then get to work.

I see in your profile you were born in 1987. When President Bush was elected to his first term, you were 13 years old... and you lost your job? If that's true and I were you, I'd be more pissed at Clinton for making a 13 year old HAVE to work in the first place!

I went through job training at Friedman's Jewlers because my sister was the manager, (though not anymore after guess who got elected.) I was trained as any other new employee there and even got paid. It was my own decision, no one elses, and because of it I get hired easier now than other 17 year olds. At that time I was also a part of my mothers interior design business, and am currently a real estate assistant, next year i'll be an agent. And just so ya know its legal for kids to work at 14

I think it is terribly sad that you have such a jaded view of how the office of President works, LKPike. I still don't understand how it is George W. Bush's fault that your sister isn't manager of a jewelry store anymore. People have lost jobs while there were Democratic and Republican Presidents. As I said in an earlier post, directed to you, my job is gone as of Nov. 15. I am employed by a major corporation, one of the largest banks in our country. But I do not like to look for a place to put the blame, instead I would rather focus on what I can do differently to prevent this from happening again.

I hope that in time, your attitude will change regarding the way this country works. It is sad for a bright, young person, such as yourself, to be so negative. I'll spare you any more commentary from me on this subject since obviously, nothing anyone says is going to make a difference to you right now.

Well good for you - I honestly applaud your decision to get out into the workforce when so many others your age were playing video games for hours, etc. However, I looked for the last few hours and couldn't find anything where Bush was against the jewelry industry and would cause your sister to lose her job.

My father lost his job while Clinton was in office. Does he blame Clinton? Nope. Do I? Nope. Did we loathe Clinton? Yup. But we're not silly enough to automatically associate a lost job with the Commander-in-Chief.

Anyway, thanks for answering my question about your working at such a young age. I wasn't attacking you, just asking a question.
