    "The Grey"

Nothing boring about this movie. It was good and moved right along. Liam Neeson doesn't disappoint. The ending was one that left you wondering, which is normally frustrating to me, but it also left my parents and I standing in the theater with a couple of other groups of people (strangers) discussing it and that is what I really liked about it.

If you go to see it make sure you sit through the credits to see a brief clip at the end.

It must be marine creatures movie day! We just saw "A Dolphin Tale" and it was great, and I love that they got the real Winter to play herself in the movie.

I think they did it that way so that it appealed to a broader audience. By adding the boy, it really opened up the story to appeal to a younger audience! I wouldn't be surprised if they also made a documentary at some point!

Hugo. I loved it! That boy is wonderful! I loved the Jerry Lewis slapstick with Sacha Baron Cohen and the obvious love affair with "the movies". And I adore Ben Kingsley! I am so bummed I didn't go to the theater to see it in 3D!

I've never seen a movie in 3D and now I know I never will again.
Saturday night we saw Journey 2 The Mysterious Island in 3D and it was an okay movie. But the 3D made me dizzy and gave me a headache. Apparently I'm not the only one this happens to either (according to my Facebook friends).

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

Yes, it depends on what kind of 3d they use, the old kind with the red blue glasses not only didn't work for me, it made me nauseous, and I saw all the red and blue lines anyway. I guess my eyes just don;t want to work together, not a shock given my prescription!

But even some of the highly touted "Now in 3D!!!" movies seem like they just stuck "3D" in random places with no effect on the plot, like "Why bother?"

"O Brother Where Art Thou" was on AMC last night. I hadn't seen it, and I'm not a huge fan of the Coen brothers, but I started watching it and ended up staying with it. I really like George Clooney. Then I was flipping channels and found "Big Lebowski" so I ended up with a Coen brothers double feature.

I was doing laundry earlier this evening and "Best in Show" was on Ion. I love Christopher Guest's mock-umentaries! There were a lot of commercial breaks, so I didn't stay with it till the end.

we hired out THE TREE OF LIFE, talk about boring, we only watched like 15 mins of it and turned it off, it had won a cannes festival award as well, and had a good cast, i was so disappointed, i would call it THE TREE OF DEATH myself, not my cup of tea.

We also had DRIVE, which was a much better movie in the sense that is had some actual action and speaking in it, however i found the violence way too much, i could not look, and i would not recommend this film, so in all both were flops in my opinion...

My mom went with a friend to see "Moonrise Kingdom". I'll find out tomorrow how she liked it. Dad and I watched "Moneyball" on Starz -- we liked it! It reminded me of "Jerry Maguire" and "Field of Dreams"-- which is one of my all-time ever favorite movies. We looked it up on the Internet when it was over and found out that it was nominated for several Academy Awards and also that it is based upon a true story.
