    Xciting dress??

    Skimpy prom dress shocks parents

A skimpy prom dress aimed at teenage girls has sparked outrage among US parents.

The racy red dress, which has just two straps that barely covers the wearer's chest, is being aimed at young girls through adverts in girls' magazines.

It is so revealing that some shops are insisting on getting parental permission slips before allowing girls to buy it.

And even the maker's boss admits he would never allow his own daughter to buy it.

But amazingly the £265 dress, which critics say turns girls "from a Prom princess to a porn queen", is one of the firm's best sellers.

The dress, by Xcite, is prominently advertised in magazines like Seventeen Prom, YM Prom and Teen Prom.

Nick Yeh, the CEO of Xcite, admitted: "I was shocked when I first saw it. I have a 15-year-old daughter and, no, I would not recommend she wear this dress.

"But now it's one of our top 20 dresses nationwide. As a businessman, I'm not judging what a teenager should wear or not wear. It's up to the parents to decide for their own children."

    --------------------------------------------------

I won't let my own daughter buy it and it's up to the parents to decide.

    Lovely.

But other than that, We'll take your hard earned money!!

    -------------------------------------------------------

Schools will issue a memo to the parents that they are not to sent their daughter dressed in this dress.

Parents will sue to get their daughters to attend the prom, in the dress.

5 months before the prom......Who wants to make a bet?

Holy Smokes! My sister's highschool had some issues last year and enforced a dress code with prom. Everyone was upset about it. But I don't think their issues were anything in comparison to that!

    Thank you Wolfie!

    LOLOLOL,

I think that the Arthur Murray Dance studios are behind this.

Just think of all the lessons they will sell before the prom.

    I just had another thought.

Somewhere in the United States there will be a gal who decides that she is going to be proper and not use any tape to keep the dress from moving away from her skin.

    SUPER GLUE!!!!!

For 500 dollars you'd think they would give you more dress.

So, Richard...you say $500 for this ridiculous dress?!?!? Trust me...I agree that this much money for so little material is senseless, but that is the trend in today's fashion...

Take swim-wear for example (only thing I could come up with for comparison)

This bathing suit is listed for $86 (a ridulous amont for any bathing suit). Notice the amount of material used for this suit.

Now, take this bathing suit. Although not the greatest example...much less material...for a ridiculous price!!!

Being slutty comes with a price (not saying that the bikini shown is slutty at all!! lol). Just seems that the fewer pieces of material, the more $$$ you're going to pay

Today's lesson......it "pays" to be conservatively dressed

    All I can say is W W!

As for the price... I think it was Dolly Parton who said," It takes a lot of money to look THIS trashy!"

Funny story about using tape to keep things "in place". I had a friend who was rather "Well Endowed", she wore a dress once that was shall we say a little too small for her "Blessings(?)"... she had the brilliant(?) idea of using Duct Tape ... Do you know WHY they call it 70mph tape?
The ER doctors thought she looked pretty in the dress...
FYI Duct Tape is not to be used for Derma Abrasion.
