I was thinking this day would come pretty soon seeing as how other things have been progressing so well. Yippy! The whole pack will be together.

And tell Dad he should be taking some chocolate for his cough.

**The next time you have a cough, skip the syrup and unwrap a chocolate bar. According to a study of 100 children in the July issue of Pediatrics, two of the most common type of cough syrup worked no better than a placebo. The ingredients are dextromethorpham (listed as DM) and diphenhydramine, an antihistimine. The ingredients did not help children sleep better.

A separate study found theobromine, an ingredient in cocoa, was nearly a third more effective in stopping persistent coughs than codeine, currently considered the best cough medicine. **

da Three Amigoz , I love that. Once more this story
has given me a smile to last all day. I am so happy for you
and the lucky pups who live there at the' ranch'.

Bowser has shown himself to be a very deserving doggie and
Cinder & Smokey have shown what love & trust are all about.

    Way to go boys.

    Ruh-roh....
I made Bowser a "Deal" that we're gonna stick to...
He's "HERE" till we find him the sort of FURRever HOME
he's lookin for and so much deserves...

    24/7 Love, Cuddles, and Attention;
and maybe a not QUITE so ACTIVE sibling or two...

He doesn't quite "GET" the sometimes non-stop Runnin, Tumblin,
and Rasslin that goes on around da Ranch!

I think he'd like more of a Retirement Home Setting ~
Somewhere where he doesn't have to "werk" quite so hard to keep up!

    BUTT... there's no "rush"!

    Wonder if he <*SWIMS*> ??

    I don't know about THAT!

Once upon a time I only had one cat. Her name was Lucy. She was getting up in years when I adopted Leroy. The vet said it was the best thing I could have done for her. By the time she went to the RB, she had 3 siblings. She lived to be almost 17.
The vet swore the "youngsters" kept her young and healthy longer by trying to keep up with them.

I'm sure that you will do the best for Bowsie, no matter what.
Just think how quiet and lonesome the house will be without him now though. (no pressure though, just a thought)

WHAT A GREAT THREAD! I just came upon this and was laughing so hard at times the dogs wondered what the heck was up.

    Phred,
You are truly one in a million! You have the biggest heart and your willingness to come to the aid of a friend, proves it! I'm sure until Bowser finds a Great forever home, you, Cinder and Smoke will give him the best of everything. I'm not so sure that he could find a better one than where he is now though!

I'll be sure to read this one now for updates! I always enjoyed Smoke and Cinder stories because of your gift of story telling and now I can look forward to Bowser stories too! Thanks!

I know one thing and that is Bowser is getting just what he needs to make him a shining star. His learning the ropes and interacting with the others is just the ticket to being physically and mentally at his best for when that forever family can be found. It is amazing how well he has done this far.

By the way, will someone fill me in on what *Ruh-roh* means?

Rachel~ Yes, i believe it came from Scooby doo...that is how he said "uh-oh", and also the dog on the Jetson's cartoon, i think used to say it that way.

Phred~ I am loving these stories, and though i don't post after each one...i am checking in everyday to read

I love how happy Bowser is...it is so nice to hear he is enjoying life!! Thanks Phred!!

I have to agree!! There is another pup you may have heard of, named Oreo. When she was about 8 or 9, she seemed to be nearing the end of her time here. She limped a lot (esp in the cold) and was a unactive pup. The, when she was about 10 or 11 another pup started spending some time there. His name was Trent, and he was a rowdy pupppy, that found a home with kids to chase him. Then another pup came to live with Oreo, and her name was Dazzi. Oreo seemed to loose years off her life. Soon there came more...Taggert, Snoopy, Jack and recently, Pippi. Oreo is now 15+ years and is running and playingmore then ever. Sure she still has her bad days, and the hearing and sight and bladder control are all going, but none of us would have thought 7 years ago, Oreo was only at middle (age one 1/3 of her life? WHo knows?) Anyway, I'm sure it was theother dogs, that helped her feel young again.

Of course, we would not pressure you at all, and since you see Bowser day in and out, you know what is best for him...much more then any of us ever could. I'm sure where ever his forever homeis, it will be perfect!
