Now, I know I'll get slagged for this one...but I thought that this bumper sticker was clever, funny, it made me laugh until I cried.....



When the hockey player, Wayne Gretzky, came to play
here in lost angeles, it was a huge event! People were finally getting excited about a cold weather sport.....

Bob Starr, the Los Angeles Kings television announcer would make every shot that Gretz took during a game sound very exciting....

"Gretzky takes the puck at the red line...Gretzky SHOOTS, HE SCORES!!!!"

Even the 'misses' were exciting.......

"Gretzky in the corner, Gretzky SHOOTS...And (whoever was in the goal, defending) makes the SAVE!!!!


It wasn't until a few months into the season when I saw a bumper sticker that said




Gretzky SHOOTS...JESUS SAVES!!!
