cow heels - now their disgusting and slimy - but my Mum always put one in her Hot Pot (Lancashire dish of lamb, vegetables and potatoes) said it gave it 'body' - yuk - slimy object!!
Double EWWWWWW!!!
My Dad was born in Liverpool but came to Canada when he was about 6 months old, however something must have clicked because he always wanted to try out these things. Poor Mom would go to great lengths to prepare a special English dish and Dad would always say how good it tasted even though it was disgusting. Oh yes, and he LOVED pickled herring and always served it up in an appy dish for Christmas. Yuck!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!
