Jen, you are a delight and a wonder. I have some friends that retreat and/or lash out when they are in pain and I'm finally coming to grips with the fact that this is THEM not ME. I also second the recommendation for a walk followed by a hot bath. Both help me lots when I'm in the mental state you are describing. Hang in there, dear.
