I have been in that situation before where I had to go out of town and Specks had a UTI. Unfortunately the only ones I had to look after them had no experience giving meds, so Specks was boarded at the vets. Not my first choice, but the only one I had at the time.

Now, I refuse to go out of town if either one needs meds, and you are right, most people just don't understand.

BTW Debbie, I cat-sit for free for my friends. I do the gardening, water plants and mow the lawn if necessary. Too bad I didn't live closer, but then again, you can take them with you now.
