Any mild acid (dilute vinegar, tomato juice) will work. In the old days they said to drench the animal in tomato juice. Be careful with the peroxide. I'm not sure why they'd recommend baking soda ( a base) when they used to recommend acids. Anyway, good luck, and poor kitty!
