At the Vancouver pound, where I volunteer at and where I got Kaedyn from, they charge $150 for their dogs. It includes spaying/neutering, shots, microchipping, a petlynx package and any additional (inexpensive) medical treatments. They may charge more due to expensive treatments but for the most part, it's $150.

I'm not sure how much the SPCA charges. I heard it was $10 for small animals. I'm not sure about the cats and dogs though.

The rescues tend to be a bit more expensive. The Border Collie rescue charges close to $300 I think. The Sheltie rescue charges A LOT for their dogs. I think one of the dogs I was interested in costed more than we paid for Kai.
