David, I am sure the surgery will go well ... and you will be good as new when it's all done! My grandmother had to use a walker for years and couldn't straighten either leg. She was probably in her 70's she had both knees replaced. After that she walked faster than anyone .... straight as an arrow, with no walker. She also lived to be in her 90's!!!
