You are kidding, right? I'm not sure! I saw a candid camera where the vet fitted various pets for glasses (dogs mostly) and the owners were giggling and appalled- you ARE kidding, right?
Thanks everybody!

Leslie, I'm kidding about getting her bifocals, but I'm not kidding about the part where the vet said her eyes are going. I guess it's common in older cats. The way the vet explained it was that the cornea keeps growing, and since the eye doesn't continue to grow, there's no place for it to go, so her eyes are starting to get cloudy. I guess I had noticed this but always thought it was the reflection of the light - you know, like when the flash goes off? He said it's similar to us needing bifocals. She would have a tougher time seeing close up things - like treats - squirrels and chipmunks that are further away she can see no problem. Again, we had noticed this in her, but didn't realize it was really her eyes. We thought she just wasn't paying attention when we threw the chicken to her.

My baby's getting old, but it seems I'm right along with her. Maybe one of these days I'll admit it......

Oh, and the pair of bifocals that were used for the photo shoot are her daddy's. We didn't really go out and buy her a pair.
