I started with a really scribbly very basic sketch of the Magoo-ster based off of CCL's wonderful pics. Then I popped open trusty old photoshop and blocked in the large sections of color, shaded 'em with the airbrush tool, and then fiddled around to he started to look slightly fluffy.

One of these days I want to be able to paint things on the computer so they look more realistic, but I've got to learn to be a lot more patient first. ^.^
