I seemed to have missed the story about Ozzy as well, but it appears you have taken the dog's best interests at heart, before you own feelings, and that is a positive thing, if you feel you can not do right by ozzy, then indeed you are doing the right thing, hopefully he will find a home which suits his needs, and you will beable, to be happy in knowing that.
