Ok get this....
My post was originally about my Lhasa's "sore nose", now he has scabs all over. Well not everywhere, but he does have 2 spots on his back that he constantly licks at. He also has a spot on each ear! I don't get it! I'm not sure how he got these. My husband wants me to take him to the vet. Has anyone here ever heard of this or knows what it is??? At first sight, I thought the scabs on his back was from a tick but, my husband doesn't think that's it. He has 2 spots on his back...one is very red and looks like a scab is about to come off. The other is just starting to become red. He still has the flaky, dry nose. Also, recently I noticed a spot on each ear, that looks very dry and flaky almost blackish - gray in color. (He doesn't like me to touch any of it.) I have been using the "emu oil" when he lets me put it on but, does anyone have any other suggestions? I've tried researching online and have come across many skin conditions. So far, all it has done is confuse me more, making me wonder WHAT IT IS & HOW HE GOT IT!
