Anna..I guess you could say it was a gig. No money involved though. A few bands got together and rented out the shelter house to play one night. A small crowd showed up. I love watching them play.
Emily...I guess you would say Rock, maybe hard rock. I always say they are kind of a cross between Nirvana and Metallica. He hates when I compare their sound though. He says they have their own sound!...hehehe.
Recently they went to Nashville for a big music convention and they actually got a call from some music executives but you have to PAY a bunch of money up front to them for them to even handle you. The music business is so crazy and scary because you just don't know what you are getting into. Of course they don't have a bunch of money right now, so they are working on that and trying to get gigs and just play all that they can. The also get called in to help out at a local recording workshop that has classes for students to learn how to record music and stuff and they use Brandon's band to help them do that. Also they played at a battle of the bands. There were about 38 bands I think that applied and only 8 made it in and they made it. They didn't win thoughThey had their pictures in the paper and posters posted around town and they also had an interview in the paper. I thought that was pretty cool. You can bet I saved that paper!
What I really like is that they are just a really nice group of guys and best friends and I hope it stays that way. They were just here a bit ago laughing and carrying on.
