I called general surgery this morning and they said that I have to have a consultation with the surgeon before they'll schedule the biopsy. Will this nightmare ever end?

{{{{{{{{{Tracey}}}}}}}}} I know it seems like a stream of doc appointments (and it is!) and the awful waiting in between; it does get tiresome. They usually schedule the biopsy pretty quickly as they know the stress of waiting. I made friends at the breast center in S.F. and got my appointments and follow-up reports pushed through pretty quickly. The head nurse even pushed the radiologist and personally called me with good news so I wouldn't have to wait over a long weekend. The 6th will be here before you know it. BTW, make sure and check that the surgeon is board certified. Mine wasn't and I didn't find out until too late. All paws are crossed over here, sending positive thoughts your way.

Hi everyone. I just thought I'd give you an update. This morning I received the results of my mammogram and it's negative. I have a consultation with a surgeon tomorrow at 11:15am so hopefully I'll know more tomorrow. The best news is that I think the lump is getting smaller.I was feeling it this evening and it felt smaller to me. Even though the ultrasound was suspicious, hopefully it's only been a benign cyst all along.
