I agree, the bottle babies are definatley special. (Maybe because they aren't expected to survive if under 4 weeks, maybe because they suckle and cry for milk and we are the one's there so they bond to us differently?) Whatever the reason... My Scamp was found with his brother at age 4 weeks and I had to bottle feed both of them. They progressed well but had the horrible habit of trying to suckle on my neck and kneed in my hair at night. Scamp was a keeper and I broke him of that habit simply by moving him away but keeping a hand on him. He now HAS to sleep next to me, even if there is little room for him, he will nearly fall off the bed in attempts to take over enough space for a human...brother was adopted out and of course I hope he is doing well.
Congrats on nursing this little one along- when they need to eat, they NEED to eat!!! And they don't always take to the bottle right away either! Grover is so very lucky!!!!!
I hope the boys got a good reprimand so they don't end up like the guys we see in the news (argh) lately! Good job! PS: how's the foot?
