I think he understands it as much as most of you do, but it doesn't stop him replying in kind (or staring at me as if I was completely mad, then just walking off).
He has certainly learnt to chatter away at us, and has quite a large vocabulary. I just WISH I could understand what the heck he is trying to tell us sometimes.
