We really cut corners on the cost of the actual wedding, we only had to pay a pretty small fee to Munsinger Gardens, and only hired the photographer for an hour's time, not taking them to the reception. The rings were made by my grandfather, so we paid nothing for those. The wedding cake was made by some great friends of ours, neighbors at the time, named Bonnie and Mark. Mark was a chef for a nice restaurant, and so they made our cake for just the cost of of the materials and the decorations, I think around $70.

The dress was one thing I paid more out on.. I think it was around $400 but I just paid installments . It was truly a wonderful wedding and for our honeymoon we rented a van, packed up us and the dogs and went camping up in the North Woods in Minnesota, near Lake Superior.
