I'm an office manager for a chiropractic and wellness center. I've learned so much there and have now started taking better care of myself, both mentally and physically. I enjoy running the office and having all of the responsibility. The doctor lets me do or buy whatever I want for the office.

I just wish work was a little closer to home. I hate morning rush hour traffic. Luckily at night I get home late so there is no traffic.

When I was 16 I wanted to be an airline stewardess.
When I was 18 I wanted to work in the theatre so I took acting classes.
While taking acting classes I worked in an office to pay for it.
When I was 26 I went back to school and upgraded my office skills then got a job as a teaching assistant at a local college.
From 28 to 30 I followed my Ex around the province and remained unemployed.
When I was 31 we returned to the Coast and I've been working ever since, currently in IT.

Nowhere in my career did I ever think of working with animals, but now that I'm older I wish I'd made that choice.

I like my job and it pays enough for the mortgage and because I've been here 18 yrs, I do get alot of perks, but it's not my passion. With only 14 yrs to go until retirement, I would be a fool to leave now.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

Until one has loved an animal, part of their soul remains unawakened.

I have been out of the work force for a long time now, raising my children, and I enjoy being a stay at home mother, but I would love to have my own business, maybe running a seaside holiday accomodation,, but thats just a dream.

I would like to help under-priviliged children or troubled teens.

One thing I might add, is I have always wanted to become a Mortician, or Mortician's Assistant, but I don't think I have the right personality to do it, too emotional, it would affect my life too much!!,working with the Dead may be too depressing, but its something I have always wondered if I were capable of doing as a Career.

I work retail in the summer at West Glacier (just outside the Park) I am helping my hubby buld a inteernet business . Hope to get a couple books published this year, kids (my adult) want me to try to get the stories I made up for them done. They both want cartoony dad to illistrate them, that could take time as he is so busy.
I enjoyed being a at home mom too it is the hardest job in the world, it was cut short after hubby got cancer and had to be home for 5 years he became the stay at home parent.

I used to work in IT and executive recruitment, but I'm now a public servant with Defence. The job itself is a little boring, but the lifestyle and Defence are great.

I've never had a calling when it comes to my career. I like a lot of things, but never found anything that I wanted to do for a long time (apart from being a racing car driver, which I've never had the funds to do!)

When I was younger I wanted to become a vet but never pursued it. There was really nothing in school that I was particularly really good at either so I never knew what I wanted to do.
I went to college and started out in Nursing school but realised that it wasn't for me. I then changed my major to Business and then changed it again to Psychology. I ended up with a BA in Psychology. Now I work in the dental field as a dental techinician and I don't really like it. The pay is low and the hours are sometimes very long.
I sure wish that I had pursued some kind of career that would allow me to work with animals. Even if the pay was low I'd at least be much happier. I also enjoy taking pictures of animals.

    too tall to race motorcycles,
    too short for basketball,

too impatient to be a writer
too ugly to be a TV star
too lazy to own my own company
too awake to dream about being a politician
too asleep to be awake for my chance....

I now work for a credit union. It's my job, definitely not my dream career. I still not sure what I really want. I thought about quitting and get another job, but WHAT SHOULD I PICK? I thought about being a voice actress. heehee... That sounds fun... I better stop thinking before my headache starts creeping on me.

I think I had more fun at work than out of work, it was great!! the job sucked , but the people, everything else was great!! best time I ever had working for the airforce and navy.

OMG me too! People always freak when I tell them that, lol. I looked into it several years ago, but science and chemistry was always my weakest subject and here in Texas it's a 2 year degree, heavy on those two subjects. You must have the degree to be licensed and you must have a license to practice. Still wish I could do it.

Well Micki they say there is a job for everyone, not everyone's choice to work with the dead, but for some unknown reason it has always appealed to me, I feel kinda strange even saying that, I think in NZ to be an assistant is not too hard, you just have to do like an apprentice-ship, I would not stand a chance, chemistry and science were my worst subjects, oh well one can have dreams eh? lol,.
