My "No No" had to go in last Thursday for a lion cut. He is a ferocious lion at the vet, so I had him put under for a teeth exam, regular exam, his new do' and a microchip.
His back fur was so knotted, he had to be shaved. Although I wasn't thrilled to have that done in the winter, I'm sure he feels so much better. He hated the whole experience and was terrified all day.![]()
But...he's happy and home...and bratty as usual. After the vet visit with Livvy, I asked my vet about putting Noah on some anti-anxiety drugs. It'd help with his agression towards her (endless taunting, nothing physical) and with his people fears if he needs to go to the vet. So, he was prescribed Clomicalm. I asked that they compound it and make it flavored so I can give it to him. But...I'm having second thoughts. I feel bad drugging him. I don't want to just put a Band-Aid on something, I want to fix it. I guess I just need reassurance and some advice if you all don't mind. I have a feeling what we did for Livvy will help matters a lot. Extra attention is in order too, especially with the babies here.
Any ideas on how to fix this without the meds for Noah?
Here are some pictures of him in his new lion cut:
Cute! Here he is sleeping with Phoebe:
Now onto the babies.
They are doing really, really well. Now that they have thier Soft Paws, Emma's eyes are healing up really well. They are still cloudy, indicating we need to keep her on the Terramycin, but no new colors or swelling.
The eye surgeon/specialist is thinking of keeping her! Which is wonderful news...what better home is there? But...I'm keeping Phoebe. I love both of these babies, but I really, honestly can't stand to be without Phoebe. I think I bonded with her when I had to feed her all her food for the first week by having her lick it from my fingers and off my knee. She's most definitely my girl and cries for me when she needs her lovin'.![]()
We're thinking of scheduling their surgery in Mid-January to early February. I'll keep you all informed.
Here are some pictures of them. Emma is much larger than Phoebe...wierd, huh??
