    Needing to vent ::sigh::

    This totally stinks! My friends have cats who aren't spayed and nuetered and are bringing more kittens into the world So, I'm trying to raise money for the operations. Both Friends have 1 female and 1 male who are needing spayed or nuetered. I'm just feeling really over whelemed right now. I have to raise this huge amount of money for pets that aren't even mine and the people do not care about anything that is happeing ::sigh::

    And another problem I have is I don't know how to go about raising the money Any ideas?

    Call 1-800-248-7729 for a low cost clinic in your area!
    Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a full management plan in which stray and feral cats already living outdoors in cities, towns, and rural areas are humanely trapped, then evaluated, vaccinated, and sterilized by veterinarians. Kittens and tame cats are adopted into good homes. Healthy adult cats too wild to be adopted are returned to their familiar habitat under the lifelong care of volunteers

    Maybe you can set up a donation kind of thing, Sit outside of Some store *with their permission of course*, and get donations.. Inform the people what its for, why its important, and maybe they will donate.. Not only are you educating the people about spaying and neutering your pets, but getting donations to help these poor kitties!

    Just my thoughts..

    Maybe a bake sale or like camcampup said, a donation. It's sad how people have pets and don't even care.

    Have a garage sale, we had one recently and made 165 dollars, get your friends to donate stuff they donot want and go for it, also you could bake some muffins or cakes and make some drinks to sell at the garage sale, just some thoughts, hope that helps.

    I am happy to hear that you found someplace less expensive to get the kitties spayed/nuetered.

    Sometimes you can talk to businesses and get them to donate stuff that you can sell. Just be upfront and honest about what you are doing and you should be able to find a few.

    I also like the idea of being in front of a store, and gathering donations. Maybe you can hand out literature on the importance for having animals spayed/nuetered. Just make sure that you get permission.

    It is sad that some people just don't get it.

    INBREEDING?!
    Poor kitty. I know a few people like that, too. She breeds her Jack Russel Terrier. I asked her why she breeds her dog, and if it had any titles, etc...Her responce was "For the money, why else?"

    Some people just don't get it.

    Each day 70,000 puppies and kittens are born in the U.S. And each year they euthanize 4-6 billion...just because of unwanted litters, and not enough good homes for them all.

    You don't have to do ANYTHING! You chose to take this on. It's your decision. You don't have to become involved.

    I will add my $.02 in here all the suggestions are great but find out about the law. If you need permission to spay or neuter the cats. I have known of a good deed turn sour because of that. I don't want you to get into any trouble. I agree that they need to be taken care of and be spayed and neutered. Good luck.
