I don't mind telling the story.

In about March or April of 2001 Shaianne started having seizures. We went to the vet and we attributed it to epilepsy since she was a purebred and purebreds are at higher risk for epilepsy than mutts. We started her on half a pill of phenobarbital a day and the seizures stopped. So I thought, "ok lots a dogs deal with this, we can too"
I noticed about a month before she died I noticed she gained a lot of weight. But hind sight is 20/20.
Then one morning in Sept she woke me up with a grand mal seizure. She lost control of her bowels, bladder and bled out of her mouth. That had never happened before, I just assumed she bit her tongue. I got her cleaned up, then I noticed her breathing was labored and shallow. I checked her and her eyes were glazing over and that is when I knew it was her last day on this earth with me.
After talking to the vet a few days later we figured that she probably had a brain anerysm that was pressing on her brain causing the seizures, it must have burst and she bled out.
There wasn't anything we could have done for her, and there probably wasn't any other course of action we could have taken.
But that didn't help the pain of losing her.
So therefore I have a soft spot for greys!
