Yes, I buy the clothes and can veto anything inappropriate, but I am limited by what the stores carry. Believe me, I've complained to Sears, JCPenney and Old Navy.
Have you tried a second hand store, like Value Village? When you go to one store, chances are that the clothes they make are very alike, to assert that "these are OUR clothes that WE make." When you go to a second hand store, there are so many different types of clothes from different stores, that you're likely to find a variety and something that looks good.
