Twisterdog, I know you are worried. My mom had to have her aortic (did I spell that right) valve replaced several years ago. She had a congenital problem and it was beginning to restrict her blood flow and it restricted her on what she could and couldn't do. The surgery is intense, but we felt good knowing that open heart surgery is done so frequently and with so much success. Mom did great. She swears to this day that the worst part of the whole process was when they did the catherization the day before the surgery. Turned out that she was allergic to the dye they used and her blood pressure dropped dramatically. It was very scary. But her recovery went well and she felt so much better after it was done. Her energy level increased dramatically. I think she almost wished she had done it sooner.
