I read in a book that females are more protective of the owners and that males are more protective of the territory. Kinda neat. Definatley doesn't fit the description of my girls though. Timber will protect the territory, barking and growling. And the minute a person she doesn't know walks in, she hides behind me. Yeah, real protectiveLeather is protective of both, but I'd have to say that she gets alot more agressive on the territory. She's my big mean guard dog
