My Bob was a wall-climber who took a long, long time to settle into being a house cat, and he's still a no-see-em when anyone visits, but he's entirely comfortable now with me and with the other cats. We have long happy belly-rub sessions on the sofa--he purrs like thunder.

I'm sure Scooter will figure out that he's got the good life now, and he'll settle down and enjoy it.
