Then that's the angle you use with her. Let her know that it sure would be traumatic for her son to lose another cat just because it didn't have the required vacinnations. You'd sure hate to see that happen. Educate her that Feline Leukemia is a virus, and if her one cat caught it, a new cat could get it too.

If/when she gets a new cat, gently but firmly pester her to get that cat to the vet! Send her links to web-sites about Feline Leukimia and other diseases that kitties get when they don't get their shots.
