I have to go in for blood tests every three months (diabetic). Every time they put a needle in my arm, my veins retract. The only vein that works if the one on the back of my left hand. There is a product called "Emla" that numbs the area before the needle goes in, and you honestly can't feel ANYTHING. I hate blood tests and getting shots (from someone who isn't me) so I searched until I found something to make the experience more comfortable. Maybe talk to your doctor and the pharmacist about this product? Good luck
