I just hate the thought of those nasty little critters on our babies! We're thinking of having a house call from the vet to administer the tape worm pills. They have done house calls for us before when we went through an ear-mite problem! We have the most wonderful vet
They give us free food to help feed the ferals, and always discount medication, over-night stays etc. We're lucky this way. It's not always easy to find a vet you thoroughly trust. When Porch had his surgery, he called all weekend long checking on him!
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a full management plan in which stray and feral cats already living outdoors in cities, towns, and rural areas are humanely trapped, then evaluated, vaccinated, and sterilized by veterinarians. Kittens and tame cats are adopted into good homes. Healthy adult cats too wild to be adopted are returned to their familiar habitat under the lifelong care of volunteers
