hmm.. well Im hoping/assuming that as an animal lover you are kidding.. Although thats not a very funny thing to joke about.. I mean, that statement is ubsurd, esp after making it obvious how concerned you are about the welfare of the cat, why be so hatful toward the dog? Why care about one pet, but not the other? So what if she (the mom) cares about the dog more? Its not the dog's fault it wasnt trained and barks and is annoying to you (and who knows who else). Its not the dog's fault that the woman likes it but not the cat. Its not like the dog has some kind of vendetta aganst the cat, animals dont seek revenge. Its not like the dog purposely causes the cat's probelms, or causes the cat to be hated. Dont turn the dog into a scapegoat here. Blame the woman, and if it's best, take the cat AND the dog to a no kill shelter so they can each get the care and love they deserve, and so that dog can get some training and be a happier dog and better companion.
