Kizzy was 24 when she we had to put her to sleep. She had been having kidney problems for about two years and I had to give her saline injections for the last year - when she got bad, we were making arrangements for a kidney transplant (I was going to adopt the donor as well...) But when the time came, the vet said that even if it worked, her quality of life wouldn't be good so we decided to let her go. That was five years ago and I still cry when I think of her but I know that it was the right thing to do and that helps a lot...
