Antibiotics will usually clear UTI's up, especially since you caught this in time. We have a cat, Porch, who is a neighborhood stray. Someone injured him sometime in the past which has made him incontinent. Therefore we cannot keep him totally indoors. He had a serious blockage which kept him in the vet for over a week with IV's. He got it again a few months down the road and we were told he had to be on a special diet and bottled water. Well this is not so easy since we cannot control his diet when he is outdoors. So far he has not had another bout of this. I'm sure your cat will be fine now that he's being treated. Good luck and let us know how he's doing.
