    Smudgy the Sweetie!

Dearest Smudgy, what a sweetie of a kitty you are! You're absolutely beautiful with that snow-white fur that looks so soft, and that sweet face with those lovely big blue eyes, that cute pink nose, and that mouth open in what looks like a big smile (and probably is!). You look quite a bit like Hello Kitty there! I wish I could reach through the screen and all the way around the world to Melbourne, Australia and pet you. I can't, of course, but I know your loving and beloved Purrrsons will pet you for me .

And what a story you have to tell! When you were just a few weeks old, you and your three sisters were dumped along a roadside in a box, without your mother or any nutrition. I'm so very glad and grateful that you all were rescued and brought to a Vet Clinic! Later you were fostered and bottle-fed by your dear Purrrsons-to-be. You were the smallest, the runt of the litter, but also very strong. They fell in love with your friendly, sociable nature (how could they not?), and you and they adopted each other. Now you're a very healthy grown-up girl, nine years old, "a healthy and moochy little girl that we all love dearly." You love everyone, and you love your cuddles. What a wonderful love-filled home you share!

Congratulations, darling Smudgy, on being chosen Cat of the Day! We hope you and your dear Purrrsons and all your family and friends are enjoying a fine celebration, full of fun and lovies and all your favorite games and treats.

I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
    Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.

    Sweet Smudgy!!!

Hi Smudgy from Down Under! Happy Cat of the Day to you, sweetheart!

What makes Smudgy special is that she has gone from the teeny tiny runt of the litter to a healthy and moochy little girl that we all love dearly.
Small buy mighty, that you were; a true fighter and survivor! Your transformation from that teeny, tiny runt of the litter to the healthy, happy, gorgeous girl we meet here today is testament to your fighting spirit and your family's total commitment and devotion! Just HOW special are you, Smudgy? In ways too numerous to mention!

It's incomprehensible, how anyone could leave a litter of defenseless tiny kittens by the side of the road, knowing their probable fate. Thankfully your family came upon you in time, saving you and your littermates from the unspeakable; whisking you and your siblings off to your auntie's vet clinic for care; committing themselves to those round the clock bottle feedings to assure you would not only survive but thrive! And oh boy, just look at you now, not only the very picture of perfect health, the ultimate plush beauty, but just as trusting and loving, as sweet and sociable as can be! It's no wonder your family fell in love with right off the bat! You're not only beautiful in looks, what with that gorgeous, snow white coat, you're just as beautiful on the inside; purrfection on 4 paws! How well rewarded your humans' compassion has been rewarded, Smudgy, having a furkid as beautiful, as sweet and loving, as special as you to call their own! You're the best!!!

Thanks for the BIG smiles, sweetheart! Meeting you today, reading your family's heartwarming tribute to their brave, beautiful girl has been pure joy! I hope you're enjoying a very special Cat of the Day celebration, Smudgy...playing and napping to your heart's content; spending special time with your humans, receiving tons of cuddles and kisses; being loved and pampered to pieces, treated to all your heart desires and more! Lots of love, cuddles and kisses to you, precious Smudgy, our very special and most deserving Cat of the Day, EVERY day!!!

Soooooooo beautiful!!! Love that tongue out action!

So Wonderful When Cats Are Rescued Like This

Smudgy is beautiful, but I see two cats in picture (one with a bow tie). Which one is Smudgy?

Many moons ago, we founded a kitten on a rainy night under a car in a parking lot. The poor thing was huddled with his tail in a puddle of water. We picked him up, and, like Smudgy, Beanie grew into a wonderful cat. Stories with happy ending like Smudgy's always remind of him.
