I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.
-- Terry Pratchett (1948—2015), Sourcery
He was spotted at the Jamaica VT state park, so we asked a person we know, Court, to go get him, as Kermit was running an errand in Northern Vermont, and I was working at the Post Office. I have not heard from him since them so do not know what Court found or saw. We have decided if he catches him, to give him to Court, as he is with someone who has female goats.

Just got the word - Mr. Bean has been captured, safe and sound. He will now be living with our friend Court, whose place includes some lady goats. As Mr. Bean went missing a week before his weathering appointment, this will be a better place for him. He never really bonded with Boo, his intended friend, so hopefully he will be happier there.

"That's the power of kittens (and puppies too, of course): They can reduce us to quivering masses of Jell-O in about two seconds flat and make us like it. Good thing they don't have opposable thumbs or they'd surely have taken over the world by now." -- Paul Lukas

Mr. Bean went missing weeks ago, broke his tether, we figured he was getting chased by predators. But then when we figured he had been eaten by the coy wolves, he was spotted in a local state park, near the rocks at the head of the waterfall - treacherous going for humans and predators, easy for goat.
However, when we tried to go get him, the place was packed with tourists from out of state, and we could not find him. Tried several times, the local deputy was helping, armed with peppermints in crinkly plastic ... but nope. Then last Thursday, he was spotted in a different state park, but I was here at the Post Office working, and Kermit was in northern Vermont with the car, so we sent our friend Court, who had met Mr.Bean at least. Alas, no luck. But this weekend, suddenly Court and friend showed up - with Mr. Bean tied three ways in the back of his truck!
