Today I went to an Open House at Happy Hearts Feline Rescue in Manchester, MI, about 15 miles away. I've known the owner and the shelter for a long time. I've sometimes gone out there to help out a bit with cleaning and cat-cuddling and such.

This is where I was first introduced to Galaxy! We wound up adopting each other, not long before Christmas 2018. She was fourteen years old then.

It was so nice to see the kitties, and the people looking after them, and other folks who love them, today. There are quite a few older cats and ones with Special Needs there. I made an extra donation with a note on the check "In loving memory of dear Galaxy." So my sweet girl did a good thing for some other cats today!
