Oh Darn Oh Darn Sweet Pepper. it is such a shame when our cats become ill, we can't understand what they are going through for they cannot talk and let us know. We'd like to just take all of their illness and give it to ourselves. First I found out about Bassett, and now Pepper. I wish i could give you some medical advice but it seems your vet has done that already. You seem very educated on what Pepper needs, and that is a sign of a true and caring doctor.
