I have always enjoyed the 'climate summits' where the participants drive up in limos, town cars and SUVs that have 5.0 liter, 8 cylinder engine, turbocharged engines. They also have flown in on private jets - that hold 12 people - with only 3-4 occupants on board.....

Amen! So sick of the hypocrisy.

Good! That means we as individuals don't have to do anything.

In the past few years I started to really look at my 'carbon footprint' and have been able to reduce my trash output by merely making an effort to sort out my trash before it goes out to the sidewalk!

Now? I am lucky if I have a trash can that has two small bags that gets put out? (If I could get the cat not to poop, I'd be ahead of the game...)

My problem is finding room in the recycle can! I filled it yesterday -two days after it was picked up - with cardboard, cans and newspaper

When I go out, I make sure that I can make one stop or I try to schedule my trip so I can hit all the places in one trip.

I don't have any problem with people being responsible as they live life, I do however, have a problem with people who flaunt their goody-two-shodding by being
'part of the movement' in a vocal way and then being totally irresponsible in their actions?

    ---------

The One Shining Example of Hypocrisy happened with the guy that brought you an "inconvenient truth" about global warming...Al Gore.

He was at the front of the movement, until people started to look at his 'footprint' and saw that instead of treading lightly, he was driving a monster truck thru the pastures?

God bless him, he has the right idea, but I think he got hung up in the execution of his beliefs.

And the last job after an 'execution' is tofind a place to bury the bodies?
