Hi Karen, I'll try some of that tea. Hanging out here on the couch with Diego.

Excellent - I'll brew some more! My sister and I had some this afternoon, cleaning out my Dad's house!

    Thank you everyone.

I have a funny B-day story from last year.

We had gone to New Mexico for a visit with some frients, we had gone out to sight see and the group went in to a Subway for lunch..

We figured out what we wanted and I walked up to the counter, ordered and the guy behind the counter hands me a few plastic Solo Cup.

    --------------------

He looks at me and says, "Here you go, drinks are free for SENIORS..."

    SENIORS?

The joke is, that by age, I am the 'youngest' of the group, but look the OLDEST.

    --------------------

I was crushed for a minute and then resigned myself to the idea that I may be entering the time of my life where FREE and DISCOUNT may not be too bad, after all.

Thanks again and let's have some cake.

Smokey Bear has cleared the cake and the candles.

Now to keep from burning the skin off my face in order to get ALL those candles out?

Hee hee - while the fire is still going, can we roast some marshmallows? I think hot cocoa with toasted marshmallows sounds perfect this evening!

Funny you mention marshmallows, the Webelos are coming over Wednesday to use the fireplace for exactly that purpose. They had a bonfire on the schedule, but the pack leader canceled, so we figure this will somewhat make up for it.

The tortillas SHOULD be in the works this week, if time allows.

In the meantime, it's downright cold here, I think I'm going to sit by the fire with the pup.

Gonna drag more wood into the house, I have been squirreling away little piles of scrap wood and have been firing up the pit in the back yard too.

I'll bend some clothes hangers and put more water on!

    Done.

Is that what city kids use to roast marshmallows? We always just snagged a green stick - as in fresh wood that won't catch fire immediately!

Um, yes we did use wire hangers.......

We grew up to love and respect trees.

The only reason for a tree to be hurt or damaged was when our dad needed a switch to beat our arses.

REFILLS AND CHOCOLATE CAKE FOR EVERYONE!!!!!
