I'm in, I did some landsacaping work once for a guy from new york.

I took my shoes off and was doing the work in the mud, when he came out saw and was became agitated when he saw my bare feet. I asked him why and he said, "I grew up in NY and you WOULD NEVER WALK anywhere without your shoes on....those sidewalks are nasty!!!!!!"
