No no LOL, as soon as the temperature outside goes below 10°C, you may not feed the fish any longer; The fishes then go into hibernation; they are not really asleep, but they hardly move anymore. Because our winter here was so long and cold, we only restarted feeding at the Easter!!!
In fact it is even dangerous to feed your fishes during the cold period! They wake up then and start swimming around, and the danger is that they freeze fast onto the ice that covers your pond. The pond does get an ice layer, so it is better to keep at least one opening in the ice; we have a thing that brings lots of oxygen into the pond, and this keeps the opening where the bubbles come upwards

I hope I make myself clear?....

WOW - that's interesting. Thanks. Guess I'm not too old afterall, to learn something new. The only fish I have ever dealt with is when I had a 40 gallon aquarium in the house with tropical fish. Sure couldn't have that one freezing...........

Wow.. So many more beautiful pictures of your beautiful flowers and beautiful kitties (furry and stone) and beautiful fishies (and the tutorial on their winter care) and beautiful Spring! Thank you so much for posting, Lut. These are gorgeous!

    It snowed here today. Grrrrrrrrr!
I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
    Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.
