    And they're so ..polite about it! Just pulling the food bowl away, not hissing or trying to drive the other cat away.

    That's what I was thinking. Two bowls would be better, but not funny.

    Nah, I tried two bowls when I adopted Zerlina, but she and Don Juan would eat out of the same bowl. "Hmmmm.... what's that other cat got there?"

    It looks as if they had a lot of practise in this technique. Here, the Kiri girl would make the first step- and then hiss and drive Orion away
