Remember folks, that ale, even before it gets watered down, is only 5% alcohol, and given his size, I doubt he even drinks a whole 1/2 pint of it, and they water it down. Alcohol is bad for people, too, but humans still drink it!

I would not, but it is all a cultural thing. In school I was taught that French children drink wine with their evening meal with their parents, just a watered-down version when they are little.
